When God Speaks

When God speaks to us, He doesn't always tell us what we want to hear.  How about when we pray for guidance, He guides us and we aren't sure if we want to go where He's leading?  I know I can definitely relate to these words.  That's where I am at today.  I asked God for help, but in this moment I'm still choosing to hold His hand and help me through each process of this journey.  A very good friend told me to always pray for direction before I do anything.  He will never leave me, he will provide for all my needs.  Thank you Lord for your grace and mercy.

Love

The "Love Day" is coming upon us soon, which has me thinking about L.O.V.E...LOVE!  John 3:16 (NLT)says, "For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."  That is truly some awesome love!  We know He loves us so much and wants us to be happy and at peace.  But, we must have faith in Him.  Every day is a new day.  Each day we wake up, God is letting us have another opportunity at making positive changes in our life and serving people.

Always in Thought about Life!

God has given all of us a purpose in this life.  It's up to us to sit down in silence and hear what he has for us.  My husband and I had a date night on Saturday.  The restaurant we chose was very crowded.  The wait time was 1 hour and 45 minutes.  My husband said he would never wait that long for dinner.  I, on the other hand have no problem waiting that long (if I don't have somewhere else to be).  I told him about a time where me and a friend waited 3 hours for the same restaurant.  He said we were crazy for waiting that long.  My friend and I enjoyed just sitting there and actually have a good conversation without being rushed.  Sometimes you just have to take a moment to sit and enjoy the time you have.  I believe that many of us don't take the time to enjoy priceless things like time.  We rush!  I think many of us suffer from a little bit of ADHD.  God made this beautiful world for us, but some of us fail to enjoy it.  We need to plan downtime to listen to God.  I believe that I'm unemployed for a reason...I'm planning to sit in silence sometime today and listen for God's words and make some changes in my life today.  I suggest you do the same.

Some Inspiration from Eleanor Roosevelt

“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you stop to look fear in the face. ... You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”

Rushing Life

We want to live each day like it is our last.  But at the same time we don't want to rush it...right???  Shouldn't we marinate in each moment?

Looking Above

My daughter had an assignment for her science class to study the different phases of the moon.  It's been a long time since I looked above, I mean really looked.  I was an awe of what God has given us.  Step outside your door one night and enjoy the beauty that's available to you.  For me, it was a peaceful experience and a feeling I won't forget.  Thank you Lord.

Giving Thanks!

Thank you Lord for placing your Angels in my life.  Thank you for allowing me to have many chances and forgiving me when I've needed your forgiveness.  Thank you for all of my blessings, trials and tribulations.  Without those trials and tribulations I wouldn't be able to acknowledge those blessings.  You ARE an AWESOME God!   I love you Lord!

God's Little Angels Here On Earth

There are times when my children can really push my buttons, but then there are times when they can be truly amazing.  They seem to always place a smile on my face at the right time.  Thank God for my little angels here on earth!

I had a BLUE Friday!

My mother passed in June 2010.  The BLUE Friday came a couple days before my mother's birthday which was on Dec. 19th.  God winked at me that day.  My husband out of the blue decided to call out that day and took my youngest to the barbershop with him that morning.  As soon as they left, I broke down.  I cried, I prayed, and cried some more.  I cried out to God to help me get through.  I happened to come across a sympathy card that I had received from a close friend.  In it it said, "You're never alone."  Moments later the person that sent me the card called to tell me that she'd being coming to visit me for the holidays.  God winked at me again!  My BLUE Friday was beginning to get brighter.  Thank you Lord for getting me through!
